Post Mid-Century in Palm SpringsLocated along the Mesquite Country Club golf course, the 1977 development features an expanded version (2,200 s.f.) of the Alexander homes. The property had not been touched in all those years which required a complete renovation, including elimination of popcorn ceilings, smoothing out the drywall, outdated kitchen and bathrooms and new lighting. The bathrooms were actually taken down to the studs and floors to the earth, the built up tub was removed to make way for a 7’ long x 3’ wide shower and the commode was relocated for privacy and new vanities installed There were so many closets that three were eliminated to make room for an alcove office, a display case for a unique Mexican pottery collection in a hallway and another for a Tamayo behind the bar. A lighting plan was created to coincide with the new furniture layout and the courtyard and terrace totally re-imagined.
